Once
in my soul's lexicon
forever used to be
a bad word
an anachronism to the celerity
of time
and love.
While
their hearts, like chewing gum
would be first sweet
and later fade
to mindless, tasteless
bits of rubber
And i - i would sigh
and pretend
i wasn't bored.
Until
my ego blown up
like a bubble of happiness
boldly pricked,
burst so easily
in the cold light of day.
Then
you, like Prithviraj
rode into my mythic fairytale,
grabbed my heart and
disappeared with it into a pink sunset
while i watched
enraptured,
forever.
grabbed my heart and
disappeared with it into a pink sunset
while i watched
enraptured,
forever.
